Milton Household Sterilisation Ideas

Milton gives complete hygienic protection for baby and home, but did you know Milton can also be used for the following applications?

  • Over time, kitchen cleaning sponges can harbour lots of germs, mould, and bacteria in them – so it’s important to sterilise and disinfect them regularly.
  • Place pre-cleaned kitchen sponge in made up solution and allow to soak for 15 minutes.  Squeeze out excess solution and place in a ventilated and sanitary location to fully dry.  No need to rinse solution from sponge.

Disinfect toothbrushes

  • A toothbrush’s job is to remove plaque and food particles from the teeth. As a result, it becomes contaminated with bacteria, blood, saliva, and even old toothpaste over time.
  • Place your pre-cleaned toothbrush(es) in the made-up solution and allow to soak for 15 minutes. Shake off excess solution and place the toothbrush(es) in a ventilated and sanitary location in your bathroom where they can fully dry. No need to rinse the Milton solution from the toothbrush(es).

Disinfect home brewing equipment and glass beer bottles ready for homebrew bottling

  • When it comes to making your own homebrew, it’s important to always clean, sterilise and rinse every piece of equipment that comes into contact with the brew.
  • Place your pre-cleaned bottles in the made-up solution and allow to soak for 15 minutes. Shake off excess solution and place the bottles in a ventilated and sanitary location where they can fully dry. No need to rinse the Milton solution from the bottles.
