Why Sterilise?
Up until the age of 12 months, your baby’s immune system is weaker, so your baby is more vulnerable to catching infections
Milk is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Therefore, infant feeding equipment that has not been properly cleaned can become a source of infection.
The Milton Method
Sterilise in 3 simple steps
Clean Items
Wash the items in warm, soapy water using Milton Baby Bottle Cleaner, then rinse thoroughly.

Prepare the solution
With 4 litres of clear cold water, add 1 Milton Sterilising Tablet or 1 capful (30ml) of Sterilising Fluid.
Immerse your items
Wait 15 minutes and everything is sterilised. You can leave the items in the solution for up to 24 hours.

Did you know?
In a study by Dr P. Mason and published in the Journal of Community Medicine & Public Health*, 56.3% of baby bottles are contaminated by E.coli and other harmful bacteria.
A report by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)* advises that the thorough cleaning and sterilising of equipment used for feeding young babies is critical in avoiding infection. The EFSA recommends the use of both chemical and heating methods for sterilising.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) 2007 guidelines also follow these recommendations. This is true whether you choose to breastfeed your baby or not.
